Breaking point - looking for advice on creative techniques

Today I've accepted that I need professional support at a more intense level than I've admitted before. I used to be proud of being a little fighter who grafted hard to achieve my goals.

But everyone has a breaking point and I've reached mine - I have nothing left in my locker, I can't dust myself back off and get up again this time. I have a brilliant GP who I saw today and she is going to connect me with the local mental health crisis team tomorrow.

Everything feels so muddled and there are so many issues contributing to my state of mind. Does anyone have any suggestions of techniques I can use today (partly to keep me busy and distracted) that might help me get some clarity and explain my thoughts as I sometimes get lost in it all when I have to speak about it. Any mind maps or anything?

I find that externalising my thoughts really helps with the my obsessive side so it isnt all milling around my head, so thought some mind maps / problem and goal activites would be useful tonight.

Would be so lovely to hear any suggestions of ways to keep busy his evening that are also be productive as I want to use this time wisely and not be tempted to give up and go out or anything manic / self destructive.

Tomorrow is important and I want to give myself the best chance to make the most of it and get the help I need. Sorry that was so long! Any ideas welcome and really, really appreciated.

This may be a shot suggestion but how about something arty? I really enjoy and find it such a release to work with pastels, clay etc, things I can really get into, feel with my fingers, express.
