I don't know what to do my son married a girl five years ago they have been going out since they were young she came and lived with us and we noticed she had lots of ocd's and was germ phobic, to cut a long story short they had ivf and before the baby was born she moved back in with her mum which was totally understandable but since the birth she has decided to stay with her mum we have only seen the baby twice as we have dogs its to far for the baby to travel she is breast feeding so on and so on what I'm worried about is her mum is anorexic and has the same sort of issues as her daughter as we are not allowed to see our grand daughter she don't live local and she will not let my son take his own daughter out they are keeping the child to such strong restrictions she gets through 12 packs of wet wipes a week some times more is our grand daughter going to get these phobias I feel my daughter in law and her mum are both undiagnosed autisics how can we check our grand daughter is being kept safe any advise please we have been willing to go visit but there is always restrictions and its got to the point where we no longer talk she is happy with this as she don't want us to get close

I'm not really sure what this all has to do with autism.

What does your son make of it all? Does he have concerns?

I don't think this sounds like autism, though certainly OCD is playing a part in what is going on.

All you can do is to keep on asking if you can see her and take what's offered.

Is your son seeing his daughter at the moment?
