Since Boxing Day Dh has really suffered whenever we are out in the car. He needs absolute silence and worries about getting stuck in queues not going on journeys that are too long.
We’ve had to completely adjust family life to accommodate this as we normally go out and about most free time. We have a 5 yo and 2 yo.
He has has to drive a lot for work whivh he manages he say it’s more stressful if I’m in the car and kids as he feels more pressured- he will not let me drive him as that makes his stress worse.
This eeekend it’s escalated we were in town shopping and he won’t use lifts now either he doesn’t like feeling closed in and after a stressful journey there he said he wouldn’t be able to drive us home so I took kids back separately.
He’s on the waiting list for counselling I’m not sure what we can do in the meantime I’m trying to be supportive but it feels like The kids are missing out because of this issue now.

Time to go back to the GP and ask if he can either be bumped up the waiting list, or if medication is an option. Hugs
