Paroxetine- weight gain?

Started taking paroxetine (moved off fluoxetine) about 4-5 months ago, a fairly low dose (10mg?)

Was at the nurse for something else this week and she did a weight check, and said I'd gained ~2kg. I'm not sure how much of this was the scales (they didn't go back to zero properly so not 100% that they were accurate but she recorded the weight anyway), and some might be me lapsing a bit on my previous cut-back on sugar over easter, but can paroxetine 'encourage' weight gain?

I've taken some anti-depressants before which were really awful (mirtazapine I think- made me sleep 18 hours a day and gained about 5kg in a month) but this is just quite mild, but obviously not ideal if it is the paroxetine. If anyone's had similar, did it come off again without stopping the medication?

I also have thyroid and kidney issues (plus pernicious anaemia and normal anaemia but those probably not relevant) which might mess with weight but think those have been stable-ish over the same period so the main thing that's changed is the antidepressant if that makes sense?
