Cerazette making me crazy

Posted in general health but thought I might get more luck here. Since having dd 9 months ago I went onto contraception soon as I could, however it feels like the post baby blues/weepies have never ended. My moods are SO up and down. I just don't feel in the mood to do anything, and my mood swings are just insane I actually feel sorry for my other half, I'm snappy, irritable and weepy and a tad needy all at the same time. It's not normal. I wasn't like this before, has anyone else had this?? Is there a contraceptive that won't have such a massive effect? Thanks!

Cerazette had the same effect on me, though it was more gradual so it took me ages to figure out it was the culprit. It also stole my sex drive, so that was another bonus of coming off it! After having my daughter I had pnd so i’m unwilling to try hormonal contraceptives again - we’ve been using condoms but I know they’re not for everyone.

Yep I have finally realised the mini pill was making me crazy and have just come off it and got my sex drive back

Have you gone onto something else?? I don't want to not be on anything, but can't handle anymore of this.

Cerazette made me suicidal! I wasn't depressed at all, but I was fantasizing about dying! I switched to taking it last thing at night, right before falling asleep, and it improved somewhat, but I gave up on it in the end due to other side effects.

No not at the moment I was fine on the combination pill but they won’t give me that now due to my age. Trying to convince the hubby to have the snip but he’s not keen

Hormones are funny things and the 'minor' side effects can be absolutely awful! Cerazette had the opposite effect for me, it was brilliant and cleared my skin up, mood swings gone, lost weight too. Other pills and mini pills I've tried have made me loopy though. And Depo Provera made me a weeping, very depressed mess.

Yeah these don't feel minor at all! And a few years back when I had the depo I ballooned. Don't know what to go with!
