After having a number of seizures and having an EEG, I have been diagnosed with Non Epileptic attack disorder. I’ve looked it up and there’s no medication treatment but there is counselling, CBT, stress management and antidepressants (if needed) etc. Has anyone been diagnosed with this and has the treatment helped? I don’t feel particularly stressed though I have been a touch more anxious lately ( My mum used to say that If I was any more laid back I’d be horizontal!).
My dad has just finished treatment for cancer which obviously worried me a bit, I thought I’d managed my feelings quite well though. Life is good, no normal stresses or traumas. I just don’t know what has brought these seizures on. I initially thought it was epilepsy as my DB was diagnosed with it 2 years ago.
