Citalopram and Temezepam

Started taking 10mg of Citalopram two weeks ago (upped to 20mg after a week). On it for anxiety and insomnia. Still incredibly sleepless. Just two hours each night for the last two nights. Has anyone found their insomnia improving on Citalopram? And can I take a Temezepam at night with Citalopram? Please advise....feeling unwell from the lack of sleep...

citalopram completely knocked me out.
I can't see a problem with taking temazapam too, but then, i'm not a doctor so it's probably worth checking with yours before you do

Thanks. Have left a message and need to ring back later. Feels like this is never going to end and like I am going crazy. Have two kids, a very demanding job, a husband and I am just about holding it together right now. Don't know for how much longer though. Feel like I am heading for a nervous breakdown...

the unfortunate thing about ad's is that they do take a few weeks to kick in properly. I'm surprised they upped your dose after only a week tbh.
stick with it, there is light at the end of the tunnel

I have read many of the Citalopram threads in the last few days and have been really encouraged by what people have to say about it. That is the only thing that is keeping me going right now, the thought that there may be relief from this. I just can't imagine not sleeping properly for the rest of my life. I honestly think I am going crazy and am about to lose it and end up being hospitalised! I keep thinking I will be the one person it won't work for. My head hurts so much from the lack of sleep..

They upped my dose gradually because i had a bad experience with Amytriptilin and Prozac after the birth of DS2. he doctor thinks I have a heightened sensitivity to prescription meds.
