Recurring PND

I had PND with both my dd and ds, with my ds I spent 12 weeks in a mother and baby unit. I am seriously considering a third baby, has anyone tried progesterone injections, or anti-depressants during pregnancy to minimise the risk of PND again? Thanks

No help to offer but have you discussed it with your GP? PND is terrible and if you can avoid it without risk to you or the child it seems worth doing.

I have discussed it with my GP - she is prepared to prescribe for the last few weeks of the pregnancy - she did't believe there was enough evidence to support progesterone. But she is not an expert in PND.
