Keeping mental health status a secret?

I was just awarded PIP for my mental health and all of a sudden I am worried that I will tell my grown children and they will tell my abusive ex (we were married 34 years) and he will be so happy and will tell everyone that he has “proof”...”My ex is definitely crazy.”

Any personal information about myself will be used as a weapon to bully me.

Do you want to tell your children or do you mean you might end up telling them although you hadn't planned to?

Is it likely that they would relay that to your ex if you did tell them?

I can understand why you are worried, this would have been my ex's dream come true, but if you have been awarded PIP you are ill - I;m not sure people will think much of him if he were to start crowing on about how great it is that you are ill.
