Missing my pills :S Cipralex

Did something totatlly stupid and forgot to get a repeat perscription last week and have missed 2 days worth of taking my tablets. I have bad headaces and feel pretty shi*&$£".

I phoned the surgery this morning and got a online perscription and should be able to get it today. I know i can go to the doc's but i was wondering if anyone on here could let me know if its fine to continue taking as before rather than wasting time at the doc's for a 'yes' answer. Huge job with the kids in tow!

Should be OK to start taking them as before as you've only missed a couple. I guess you may find you have some side-effects for a day or two but you should be fine.

If it happens again, it's worth bearing in mind that you can get an emergency supply of prescribed medication from a pharmacist - you just need to remember to take your last empty packet with you. You'll only get enough to last a couple of days, but it should be enough to tide you over until you can get a new prescription sorted out.
