Hi there I had pnd with second child and was treated very well by gp and family made a good recovery and was on anti d for about 2 years in total and have been off them for 4 years. The problem is I am fine and coping well until the children are ill. I then go into a meltdown crying and blaming myself and probably going to the docs to often I do not trust my judgement and until a professional tells me they are ok I cannot make any rational decisions. Once the illness has passed I am fine. Any advice folks

Go easy on yourself, you've done great to overcome pnd and come off the ads! A lot of mums go spare when there kids are ill, its nature that makes us worry about them we cant help it! I often have awful run throughs of worst case scenarios when ds is ill because he means the world to me.
If you still have a health visitor could you ring her for a quick calm me down/do I need to ring the doctor chat? My hv is usually more helpful and accessible than gp anyway and I don't feel bad for wasting the doctor's time.
