Stomach bug or anxiety?

Whenever I'm worried about something, my flight or fight kicks in and I get really bad diarrhoea. I'll go once and then I'm fine.

This week I have been extremely stressed about going back to work. I've had awful diarrhoea (all water- sorry TMI) for five days now. No fever or vomiting though and feel ok apart from the toilet situation. It is when I start thinking about work that my belly gets bad and I need the toilet again. Is it possible that stress/anxiety can cause the runs?!

I'd call anxiety on this.
I get it often.
It's an absolute fucker.
You need to try and find something that can help you...I find walking helps me. Just Walk and Walk until my mind stops being so intrusive. it seems to have an accumulative effect, so I try and walk every day.

Mindfulness helps too if it's your thing.

I get the same - a right bugger! Bananas may help (although they tend to be better for antibiotic-induced issues)
