Hi I’m on citalopram 10mg which I went on in June after a year of shocking PND treatments.

I get bad side effects so have spoken to gp a long slow wean off, like over months.

I cut a tablet in half 4 weeks ago on one night a week. I’ve had dizziness and nausea and felt generally hungover then after this weeks drop had awful awful anxiety, dread, feel like my blood is buzzing inside me, a lot of tears and feels like a deep depression. After four days I feel it’s settling somewhat.

But there must be a better way than this. I’ve only essentially dropped to 5mg once a week!

I can get the liquid version and go down from 10 to 8 to 6 to 4 to 2 to nothing that may be better?

Anyone got any advice or success stories?

Would dropping one day a week be throwing my body around more? Would it be better to drop to 8 every day?

How do you get through it? If withdrawal causes depessskin and anxiety how do you stop then getting depressed and anxious as a result?!

I’m v v sensitive to anti depressants and have had a shocking time coming on and off drugs so not a standard case.
thankyou!!
