Single Point of Access Initial Appointment

Tomorrow I have my initial appointment with a Single Point of Access consultant.

I have already previously self referred and been through CBT, but my GP (and I), agree it hasn't addressed the crux of the matter.

Has anyone any idea what I have to expect from my meeting with a consultant tomorrow? Will it be a like an interview? My anxiety is prickling me about it. I suppose i'm mostly anxious at not being taken seriously or being told i'm not really ill.

Has anyone been through this? Thank you.

For anyone who happens across this thread I've just returned. It was a horrible experience which has left me angry, upset and incredibly frustrated.
I've suffered for 15yrs. I've fought and battled like hell for this referral, my life is in the toilet and I've related all this today.

The upshot is that unless I'm a danger to myself or others to go away quietly. There's no room at the inn. There's no 'funding'. There's nothing they can do unless I'm willing to cut myself to ribbons or smear my shit around tesco's.

It all comes down to money. Everything. The whole fucking world. Money.
