citalopram side effects

Hello!

I started taking 10mg of citalopram for 9 days, and didn't really have any side effects, apart from feeling a bit tired and having a dry mouth.
Dose was increased to 20mg yesterday, and I was absolutely fine for 5 hours, until I suddenly become very nauseous. That increased, and I started to get sweaty, blurred vision, tingling, dizzy - I basically thought I was going to pass out, but didn't. Felt better after an hour or so, and nausea completely went.
Took it again this morning, and basically straight away I started feeling anxious, panic, tingling, tight muscles, spaced out. This has pretty much worn off now (about three hours later), and I will absolutely call my doctor Monday to chat about it. Thing is, I'm wondering what to do tomorrow. I do have a 10mg I can take, or I could take a 20mg at nighttime, instead of the morning.
Has anyone else experienced side effects like this? I'm worried that this drug just isn't for me. Again, going to call my doctor, just wondering if anyone has had the same and what they did?

Thank you!

I've been on 20mg for a year - I can't take HRT and it's good for hot flushes.
I do get the dry mouth, but I take it at night and don't think I've had any side effects.

Thanks Weebarra. I think I might try taking it at night tomorrow and see if that helps!

Normal response to taking it in the day..take it at bedtime for a month or so snd after that you'll be ok to take it at any time.
