I went to see my doctor today and he prescribed me citalipram 40mg to help me with anxiety.
Within an hour of taking them my heart rate was up, room spinning, vomiting, diarrhoea and unbelievable stomach cramps.
I called the doctor and explained everything he assured me it's not the tablets and that I maybe have a bug and to take them as normal when I'm feeling better. I felt fine this morning and feeling more myself now the tablets are wearing off has anyone else experienced this from taking them?

Talk to your GP about starting on a smaller dose and working your way up. It may help

Just keep communicating with doc and good luck

My gp started me on 10 for the first week, which I guess means your body gets used to it slowly.

I should think you need to take a low dose and build up slowly. 40 sounds a lot, way too much to start on
