Will I be taken seriously?

For years I always thought I had bad anxiety, but more recently I have come to think that maybe there is something more going on with me as I have felt more unwell than usual.
Recently I came across an article on BPD and it's like a light switch came on! I fit all of the symptoms (except for one) I finally understand why i do the things I do, why I feel the way I do.
I am already seeing my GP for anxiety and I am due to go back the end of next week. I have been referred to mental health (I think) for anxiety. Should I tell her of my suspicions? I don't want to come across the wrong way or anything.
Thank you.

Right in back. I think If it really resonates with you then talk to your doctor about it. Depression and anxiety get used as broad diagnosies and sometimes you have to push of you want people to assess for anything further.

My doctor often refers to me as having depression or anxiety interchangeably when I fact what I have is PTSD. I am okay with it because ultimately my treatment is the same, medication and therapy.

So my point is, yes discuss it with them and ask what the process is for getting an assessment.
