Live a life free from Anxiety!
Is anxiety getting in the way of you enjoying your life?
Everyone has feelings of anxiety at some point in their life – for example, you may feel worried, about a job interview or taking a test, and those feelings are perfectly normal.
However, for some people, it can be difficult to control their worries, and anxious feelings can feel more constant and start to impact on daily life.
There are a variety of anxiety disorders, one of which we are going to be focusing on is Generalised Anxiety Disorder, also known as GAD.
The main symptoms can include:
Feeling restless or worried
Having trouble concentrating or sleeping
Dizziness or heart palpation
This type of anxiety isn’t useful and people often struggle to remember the last time that they felt relaxed, and can feel that as one anxious thought is resolved, another appears, which is the vicious cycle of an anxiety disorder.
Medication can help, and it’s always useful to discuss these symptoms with you GP. Another recommended treatment for GAD is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, known as CBT.
Receiving CBT is effective in understanding and working with the thoughts that trigger the anxiety and relieving the symptoms of GAD.
If anxiety is getting in your way, and you want to understand this disorder and improve your life, then we are here to help!
