Struggling with sleep

I'm currently finding it very difficult being alone with my own thoughts (pnd) and consequently am constantly doing something, mostly being on my phone (obsessively cycling through Facebook, Instagram, emails, headlines, mn) I just can't put it down and am staying up so, so late which really isn't helping. I still have to attend to baby and sometimes 3yo old in the night and be up early (yes dh helps loads) Does anyone have any ideas on how to reduce the anxiety about just going to bed?!

Was just talking about how to sleep better. Sorry to hear you're suffering with PND, that's really crap and hope you feel better but glad you have your DH to lean on.

As for sleep they say that you should stop screen time about an hour before you go to bed. Have you tried reading to sleep? I know the feeling of not being able to switch off and not much can help but here's a list of things I've been told to try;

Hot milk,
Exercise,
Hot bath,
Podcasts or audio books.

Thanks for replying. I know the screen is not good for me but I get frustrated trying to read as I spend so long trying to find where I got to before I fell asleep the night before I only manage to read a few pages before falling asleep again! It does work though! Audiobook is a good idea, will try that, thanks.
