Sertraline side effects

I've been taking sertraline for a while now. Last week I stopped taking them (without gp knowing). I saw my gp today, and she's asked me to continue taking them.
All day today I've had intense heartburn and I'm constantly feeling sick. Although now that I think about it, I've been feeling like this for 3 days.
Is this normal? I've never had this before.
Thanks

It seems normal. Did you go straight on to a higher dose than you started on, too? That would explain the stronger effects

I get that and a weird jaw feeling when I start, go up a dose, or sometimes just randomly for a few minutes or even up to a day.

Have you tried to do the things you would do with heartburn and feeling sick normally? And did you eat when you took it? I am more prone to getting these odd effects if I don't eat with it.
