Anxiety & pregnant

I suffer with anxiety, I had a short spell on tablets (possibly cilitropam?) about 5 years ago.

I'm now pregnant with DC2 and it's coming to a head, I'm short with DC1 and Snappy and bossy with DH. My jaw is so tense and I'm gritting my teeth all day long. I'm starting to withdraw and refuse to do things because I'm so anxious.

I feel I want to go to the GP for help (self help hasn't helped) but worried that I will be told to wait until DC2 is born or that flags will be raised. Are there medications prescribed in pregnancy for anxiety? That have good solid long term research behind them? I imagine the hightened levels of cortisol from anxiety are probably not great for a developing baby either.

Help!

There are medications that have more research than others I was prescribed fluxotine (not sure on spelling) a form of Prozac is apparently the best but there are side effects!

I have chosen as I am TTC to come off all meds to be sure. I would recommend talking changes if you are in the U.K. You can self refer online.
I am getting 10 daily appointments with my doctor to help me as I am worried I will be the same when pregnant again.

My advice would just to be careful what you say in regards to the red flags being raised maybe play certain parts down? X
