You may need to combine lamotrogine with another medication (e.g. quetiapine). Also lamotrogine takes a while to kick in - dose has to be bolt up gradually

I've been taking lamotrigine for a few years, and the dosage does have to be gradually increased. It can cause sleep problems/vivid dreams/anxiety etc for the first week or 2, but then it settles down.

Bear with it - it's the only medication I've ever had that hasn't made me pile on weight, or turn me into a zombie. It's worth persevering with.

I think they are aiming to get me to 75mg which is a small dose isnt it?
Im unsure why its so low.
I am currently on 25mg. So far it has made me type as though i am drunk about 2 hours after taking it and the following day im spacey.
They arent too bad side effects really. Are the side effects likely to increase when my dosage does?

Does anybody know what 75mg is used to treat?
I went with suspected bipolar. It was then mentioned that i fit more in the criteria of borderline personality disorder, but said it may not be that. He then suggested this drug as antidepressants clearly just make me worse.

From researching borderline - i noticed that they more so just suggest it, rather than stating it as a fact that you have it

So now i am confused over whether i do have it or not.
Do you think maybe it will be clarified depending on how these meds work?

Sorry for the length, its all new to me
