This is something I am very interested in. here

I am an ESFJ character. Has anyone else ever done this test?

this is me - I am 'The Protector'!

Quietly forceful, original, and sensitive. Tend to stick to things until they are done. Extremely intuitive about people, and concerned for their feelings. Well-developed value systems which they strictly adhere to. Well-respected for their perserverance in doing the right thing. Likely to be individualistic, rather than leading or following.

Mostly true except the sticking to things until they are done - I can be pretty half arsed sometimes

LadyMacbeth · 12/03/2007 20:36

ESFJ here too. Must be a MN thing!

StrangeTown · 12/03/2007 20:36

We use this a lot at work. Our classic worker profile is ESTJ.
I am ENTJ, but am really, really borderline on quite a few of these. I have done the full tests and come out ENTJ and ENTP.
Very interesting to understand your team/peers and how to sometimes flex your style at work.

losty · 12/03/2007 20:43

I really do find it fascinating. the more I read about it hte more I want to know

IIRC I'm an ENTP - remember scoring strongly on the 'getting bored easily/lack of attention to detail' stuff.

What I love about Myers Briggs is that they were a mother and daughter team. It's just nice. And different.

Tutter · 12/03/2007 20:52

purpleturtle · 12/03/2007 20:54

I'm an ESTJ, married to an INFP. Makes for interesting communication issues, I can tell you!

yellowvan · 12/03/2007 20:56

i'm an infj and very rare apparently
I find it quite eerie actually, so so accurate, explains a lot to me. Thanks for putting me on to this, must read more.

FrannyandZooey · 12/03/2007 20:57

I love Myers Briggs and regularly bore people to tears predicting their type and telling them to do the test

I'm an INFP, of course

"Quiet, reflective, and idealistic. Interested in serving humanity. Well-developed value system, which they strive to live in accordance with. Extremely loyal. Adaptable and laid-back unless a strongly-held value is threatened. Usually talented writers. Mentally quick, and able to see possibilities. Interested in understanding and helping people."

Tutter · 12/03/2007 20:58

you see that's why i like you franny - you are the anti-tutter

losty · 12/03/2007 20:58

Oh I wouldnt dare to try to guess peoples types. Its only myself I am intersted in!

FrannyandZooey · 12/03/2007 21:21

Tutter

Dp says he likes this bit:

"Adaptable and laid-back unless a strongly-held value is threatened"

and that I regard everything as a strongly-held value

purpleturtle · 12/03/2007 21:29

Sounds exactly like dh to me, FaZ.

stoppinattwo · 13/03/2007 04:32

ESTJ

ghosty · 13/03/2007 05:47

ISFP

hmmunkermunker · 13/03/2007 06:36

You guys do know this test was invented by a hairdresser or something - and that people get different results on different days, never mind years.

DH wants to know what personality type Hitler, Pol Pot and Gengis Khan are ...

SHOSHAlee · 13/03/2007 06:55

ESFP actually is very true to me!

NotQuiteCockney · 13/03/2007 06:56

From what I've read of them, the types are fairly general horoscope-style platitudes. And quite nice, too - hence wondering what type Hitler would be.

suejonez · 13/03/2007 09:29

NQC - but aren't most personailty tests just Jackie quizzes for the intellectual?! It was never failed to amuse me that I always come out in every one has such a fantastic person.

suejonez · 13/03/2007 09:31

though I have done M-B several times and never come up with a differnt result.

You need to be properly tested, you can't just read the categories and decide which you are

I think they are very positive in their descriptions, yes, but also cite areas for change

I find it a really person-based and worthwhile tool myself
