And how do you get some?

I have been on AD's for 2 months. I have felt much, much better about myself but still have the odd dip. However, I have huge issues with my self-esteem. I have a good job, a lovely son and people tell me I am good looking yet I feel rubbish. I really need to sort this out as it is ruining my relationship with my DP. Does anyone have any tips?

I would love to know how to get some.
muminfife- who is the author of the book?

Emskilou · 12/03/2007 11:43

Overcoming Low Self Esteem by Melanie Fennel ISBN 1-85487-725-9 £9.99 fabulous book, my self esttem was so low that I could not look at anyone let alone speak to them so very very rarely went out, my cbt therapist reccommended that I bought it (btw I am someone who used to believe that therapy was a load of poop and in denial about depression, oh how things change) It has excercises that you do in order to change the way you think about yourself and I have to say it turned my life around. It is a little hard work but it is worth it my life has honestly changed for the better. Not sure if this is what you are looking for but thought I would let you know.

Thanks will look out for the book.

Thanks ladies. I am going to get these books right now.

My OH has been really understanding (as he has suffered from depression himself) but I think my massive irrational mood swings are getting to him (and me!).

Ooooh I used to have severe mood swings, even used to worry myself but could never stop them, I still have the odd bad mood now, just because I can I think but nothing at all like before. I hope it all works for you and well done on taking this the scariest step
