So I have been prescribed antidepressants

But I am scared to take them. The last time I was on them 17 years ago I had a terrible time coming off them and I am worried it will happen again. Tell me it's going to be alright.

It's going to be ok. Are there the same ones you were on before, or are the different ones? Have you discussed your worries with the GP, they will be able to support you when its time to come off these ones.
