Vitamin D deficiency

I know that vitamin D deficiency is associated with depression and anxiety, but as I'm already on an over the counter suplement didn't even consider it might be a factor for me. As I've recovered I've found now that the main lingering symptom is fatigue, so my GP did some tests. Its come back that I have very, very low vitamin D levels. Just though I'd share, as there may be others in the same boat.

Ds1 (16 nearly 17) and I, have both found our mood has dramatically improved since taking the Vitamin D loading dose (25,000 IU fortnightly for him) and I've been taking 2,000 IU a day as I've only just had my bloods tested, so don't know yet how deficient/insufficient I am. But I feel soo much better, that and a bit of spring sunshine. remarkable. Feel cross that people might have mentioned counselling when it was a straightforward deficiency...makes sense that so many people don't realise

Glad its doing the trick knitting Im 4 weeks in now and definately feeling better too, not nearly as tired and actually feeling good some days. I wasnt feeling depressed like I have in the past but definately a bit flat despite the ADs.
