can prozac 'go off'

I am on prozac and have run out - I found in my meds cupboard a pack from ages ago - date 2001. Can I just take this for now? It is a BB date - but cannot think what in there can go off and it is the weekend.

Even if you don't know what do you reckon?

you can take the empty pack from your current meds to a pharmacy and they can give you an emergency supply until you can get a prescription
