Hi all,
I am fairly new here but have been lurking for a while. I have BPD - diagnosed officially about a year ago but I have suspected it for a while. My life is up and down but for the last 6 months, since finding the right combination of medication and therapy, I have been doing really well. I would really like to find other people who have BPD to chat to, share the highs and lows and hopefully support each other so if anyone wants a chat drop a message here :)

Hi.

What meds are you on?

Bipolar or Borderline?

I am a manic depressive.. I much prefer that to bi polar... It sounds like what it is... manic and depressive, not a logic gate in an algorithm..

As to highs and lows... Do I sound cowardly if I say I don't really want to talk about them? However, knowing what I am makes it easier to manage myself. The problem is keeping my manic behaviour from getting out of control. It cost me a political career in local government when I was blunt about a councillor who wanted to spend public money on an ego project. On reflection it was not effective. But it seemed to be the right thing to do and I also recognise in retrospect I was having one of those episodes.
