Anyone changed from citalopram to sertraline?

If so, can you tell me a bit about it please?

I'm currently a week into switching over, I'm currently on 20mg of cit and 50mg of sertraline. This week has been awful. I'm not sleeping that well and when I do doze off I'm having nightmares, im weepy, feel really low again.

Is this normal do you think as I'm wondering if it's worth persevering with?

Sorry you're struggling, sertraline has given me terrible side effects but the best progress once the side effects have settled down. It's miserable while you're in the throes of it but try and stick with it if you can

I came off citalopram as it made me tired 24/7, just turned me into a complete zombie

Sertraline, to me, was a bloody wonder drug, it made be a bit ill to start off with (mainly diahrreah sorry for TMI) but settled after a couple of weeks and made me feel great

Thank you, I will persevere. Despite being on 40mg of citalopram I was starting to feel low again, having more bad days than good. Tonight was the first straight sertraline dose, so I'll see how tonight goes.
I'm happy to know that the switch has worked for you both. I'm hoping that the side effects don't last too long

Can I ask what dose you are on of the sertraline?

I have been upping it whilst reducing the citalopram. So 25, 50 and now 100. Have to give it two weeks at 100mg and see how I'm feeling before increasing further or sticking with 100.
