Health anxiety

I have struggled on and off with health anxiety since the age of 10. I've never found anything effective that helps long term and the stressful thoughts come back.

At the moment I'm struggling to function. I'm obsessed with illness and constantly feel doom. I imagine being diagnosed with a terminal illness and struggle with panic attacks day to day.

Does anyone else struggle with this? I don't know where to turn for help

Yes I do though generally it's more to do with the dc's health than mine.

I do find sertraline helps and distraction by keeping busy.

Yes I have for the past 11 months. I have always been a worrier but the health anxiety started last October when I started to get tummy problems. I have had CBT which helped a little. I have recently read a book which is called Overcoming Health Anxiety. I would recommend this book. One bit of advice never Google any symptoms! You are not alone and you can overcome this.
