I'm on 40mg

I started on 20mg, which didn't work for me, then went up to 40mg and it was far better.

Did you have any side effects with the leg up?

How quickly did upping the dose help you to improve?

No side effects that I remember.

It was a couple of years ago now but as far as I remember, a couple of weeks after doubling my dose I started getting fewer suicidal thoughts. I think the upped dose also got me to a state where I could really engage with my CBT, because I was starting to see a point to it.

Thank you - very helpful

You're welcome.

I was probably on 40mg for about a year before I started coming off.... very very very slowly. I've been off it altogether for a few months now with no problems, & I think getting the dose right probably saved my life.

Good luck.

Thanks - appt tomorrow - just feel all my physical symptoms are back. Never been offered CBT and even regular counsellor implied meds was my best option. It's hard to know when you need to bite the bullet
