I am in a bad place and want to increase my citalopram from 30 to 40 daily, but I can't get in to see my doctor for another 10 days and I want to see a specific doctor. I have enough tablets to just increase the dose myself, is this wise??

Have you talked with your doc about it earlier?

MillyMoo1113 · 30/06/2016 20:26

No, have been on 30 for probably the last six months or so, started in 20 about a year or 2 ago, have lost track.

I wouldnt do it... But maybe Call another doctor just in case?

AnxietySertraline · 30/06/2016 20:37

Wouldnt do it before talking to a doc

Please don't dose up without docs consent. I'm on 40mg citalopram for severe anxiety. But the doc didn't ideally want me on that high dose. Pls talk. What is bothering you? Maybe I can help? Xx

Am going to try ring doc in morning, see if he'll do a phone consult. My problems would fill an entire thread in relationships and that's before I even think about my work and financial stresses. I never used to cry on citalopram, like I couldn't, now in tears for the second day running, I just about hold it back at work, but by this time of night I'm just past it all
