Forty tomorrow

Im forty tomorrow but ever so slightl;y depressed about it. has anyone anything to say to cheer me up??

40 is FAB FAB FAB -- I love it..

Yes but your face slides into your neck and your waist into your bum and I went to NEXT to try on some jeans today and they had surround mirrors and I felt crap. (Im a size 12 but still felt crap)

I love Next jeans. They appreciate the fact that some of us have bottoms!

The worst think was that the pockets kind of disappeared under my cheeks which just didnt flatter my bum at all.

Hey, I felt like you the night before my 40th , you will feel odd for a bit then it becomes the norm

It's better than the alternative honey (6' under!!). Some people havn't been lucky enough to reach our grand old age.

On a more positive note - life really is good up here in the naughty fourties. I've become much more relaxed in myself, care less about what others think and look at sexy women like Helen Mirren, pushing 60, compared to bland airheads like Britney.

The mature woman who walks tall and has life experience is so much more interesting.

Isyhan - know how you feel, Im 40 on Sunday - we are nearly twins!! Ive been sliding into this feeling since about September - thought it might be SAD but realized that I am just sad!
I did think I would be famous by now, though in Gods name in what I dont know. Actually would hate to be famous - but you know what I mean!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Thanks for the support. Im not properly depressed or anything its just that I just feel that Im wanting people to say 'Oh you only look 35' and then I get annoyed with myself for being so superficial when other 40 year old women are just getting on with it and not obsessing at all.

I'm looking forward to my 40's. I feel a lot more confident in being me.

(Surround mirrors always make you feel crap unless you are a size 6!)
