Why am I feeling like this?

New to this board and looking for some advice please. I find that I'm feeling increasingly down all the time. I really have no good reason to feel like this - good job, own house etc etc

OH has been out of work for a while and, despite applying for loads of jobs, has had no luck. We keep getting comments like "Oh hasn't he found a job yet?" etc etc (small community where everyone knows everyone's business)

I'd love to move somewhere else but couldn't really afford to live anywhere else and am getting a bit old to start looking for another job. I also find myself getting really upset about, and dwelling on, items of bad news on TV.

Any advice on how to get myself out of this?

Thanks

Don't forget that yr DH being out of work will have a massive impact on you ! I lost about a stone in weight, alot for me. And went really mad when my DH was off work, no wonder you are feeling low.

Thanks Fuddle. Happily since posting my DH was offered 2 jobs on the same day!!

Hopefully that will be start of a better period for us. Smile

I hope things pick up for you. My OH is also out of work and it's a strange time with him around the house and uncertainty hanging over us. I have mild depression and was advised not to watch the news daily. It can leave one feeling disempowered and it's so miserable. I do check it online as I don't want to be out of touch but I'm more in control then. Good luck

Sorry to hear how you're feeling Danyella. I'm pleased to hear about the jobs and hope that things will start too feel better.
