Is it worth me buying some even though I'm exhausted from not sleeping well for years due to struggling financially. My dh is self employed and business is not great.

Thanks

Try magnesium supplement instead.

It can help some people. Just be aware it does interfere with some prescription medicine (I.e. Decreases effectiveness of contraceptive pill)

I think you should go and see a GP before self-medicating.

Yes, if you were in Germany, you might be given St John's Wort by your doctor (as it's mainstream there) but British doctors don't seem to use it. So self-medication is probably the only route if you have a specific reason to want that specific thing.

But I'd wanted to be checked, for things like thyroid function or possible anaemia, before choosing a medicine.

And yes, you need to check your contraception (if using any) if you take St John's Wort as it interferes with the pill.
