I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread about people who have recovered so those suffering can get some good tips and most importantly silence that nagging fear that most sufferers have, I'm sure you all know the one- the fear your stuck like this, that your the only one or that your about to go crazy!
Ok well il go first. I suffered severe anxiety for 10 long years. With various self help methods I managed to fully recover.
I used a combination of claire weekes, mood gym and ultimately acceptance was the key to recovery. I also suffered depression too and I managed to recover from that using mood gym and acceptance of my feelings. I learnt not to view my symptoms as making me a freak, I learnt to change my negative mindset about my symptoms and over time with many setbacks I became me again... well a better version of me as I feel I can deal with my mind and emotions better.
