Hope I'm posting in the right place but my hubby has been diagnosed with depression and anxiety. A family member is now terminally ill and his dad died suddenly six months ago which I feel he didn't deal with but worked through it. And he has just crumpled. I have suffered depression for years and know how I feels but I don't know how to help and support him, can anyone advise me X

It's difficult to answer your question, as everyone responds differently. (Long-term depressive here by the way. Had to see quack today, back on pills for first time in 8 months). Wife tries to help but just makes things worse - until a big "conversation" over the weekend where she screamed that she just didn't know how to cope with or help me - and I was able to agree, and say that I didn't know what would help either... For me, although I find it hard to accept at times, plenty of conversation and hugs. Or silence if I indicate that's what I need. But like I say, we all respond differently - I wish you all the best coping with this. I leave little notes for myself and Wife sometimes, reminding me of how brilliant she is.
