Depression and Anxiety

I am hoping somebody can help me understand the above. I have a friend who suffers from both and I don't know what to say to her or if I can help her in any way. She posts on FB how she is feeling and gets lots of posts of 'I hope you're ok hun' and the like but she then refuses to talk about it but will then post how stressful everything is.

How do I help her or do I just ignore it but tell her if she wants to talk I am here. If I say that and she agrees how do I talk to her about how she is feeling? What do I say?

I do find this very frustrating as I don't understand how she is feeling.

everyone is different, so...
Those posts frustrate me hugely. I think they are partly a cry for help, for reassurance that she is not alone and that people care. They also relieve the overwhelming pressure of unmanageable feelings, rather like self harming does.
Try pm ing her and asking how you can help. Offer suggestions like having her over for a meal or delivering her a meal. Maybe watch her kids while she has a long bath.
Don't be surprised if she says no. Depression is very resistant to feeling better. It's hard to imagine wanting to do anything at all. Just offering will help her feel that someone cares, and and you may hit on an offer she can accept!
