Spent the night in A&E on Monday (feeling suicidal) - took myself there which is a first (usually get taken after an attempt).
Hoped I would start to feel better but still having the same thoughts.
The crisis team just tell me to go for a walk or stuff but it is when I have tried all the distraction techniques and am exhausted but cannot sleep that the thoughts are most insistent.
Feels mad to just go back to A & E and tell them the same thing - but not sure what else to do.

Go for a walk? Fuck no! That will not help suicidal thoughts. I assume you've figured that out yourself though (without wanting to sound flippant).

Are you on AD's? How long? Are they helping?

I've only attempted suicide once personally but have considered it many times. Well done for going to A&E when those thoughts presented, it's bloody hard and shows real strength from you. I'm just sorry you got no real advice. Please go to your GP as well for AD's and a referral for counselling if you haven't already. In the meantime I'm here to talk and I'm sure many others will too.

Big big hugs to you and take care. PM me if needed Flowers
