are there any happy people left?

there seems to be so many sad, miserable and depressed people about at the moment. Just wondered if there are any happy folk left

i think that is a little bit insensitive..to post on the 'feeling depressed' board

being depressed is not the same as not being happy. Having had severe PND for 4 years... i know this !

luckily , i am 'happy' now..but it took a lot of damned hard work to get here and to get back to being well....

nope but then thats what happens when you are made redundant right befire christmas i guess. very insensitive of you IMO.

Are you sad and misrable or happy, ratclare? It is hard to tell.

im sad for all the people who are depressed ,but generally happy due to fantastic friend who has the ability to bring me back from the brink ( dont even get me started on the jesus theme clock with rotating halo!). It was something my gp said to me the other day , he was relieved i wasnt in wanting ads like everyone else and we live in a affluent area where people seem to have it all materially (im not included in that) but people just dont seem to be happy with thier lots if you know what i mean. Perhaps i should rent out my best friend ( who incidentally stopped going to counselling because the counseller used to look like he was going to burst into tears when she told him about what her exh had done to her !)see if she can work her magic elsewhere . BUT i am sorry to have been insensitive to all of those people having a terrible time

maybe would have been better to start a 'my best friend is marvellous and makes me so happy' thread in chat.

material wealth is not a barrier to real depression...being unhappy with your lot is different to being clinically depressed....
