Taken too many tablets tonight

But they haven't really helped. I want to take the rest of them. My life has no purpose, no joy and so limited. I cannot think of one single reason to carry on. I want to be at peace.

Keep 'talking' on here. Am not sure of your back story but happy to chat. Or call the Samaritans.

It may seem bleak right now but the tablets will not help.

Will be here for a couple of hours if you want to get some thoughts out there.

BitchPeas · 01/09/2015 20:25

How many have you taken already? Is there anyone you can call?

Your life is worth something, everybody's is. You matter.

Ubik1 · 01/09/2015 20:26

Phone 111

They can help.

Sharpkat · 01/09/2015 20:27

What exactly have you taken and how many? Just want to make sure you get best advice.

myrtleWilson · 01/09/2015 20:27

Do call the Samaritans or another trained agency and please do get medical help if you've already taken the tablets.
Much love

PurpleDaisies · 01/09/2015 20:31

op please get help.

Ring the Samaritans, 111 or a mental health professional you know. Flowers

onlyoranges · 01/09/2015 20:44

Thanks everyone. I don't want to talk to anyone. Have no one to talk to anyway. It's a little cocktail sleeping pills and a few different tranquillisers. I am just feeling sorry for myself. Thanks for your support everyone I really appreciate it.

Do you want to talk on here oranges

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 01/09/2015 20:54

Oh onlyoranges

We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources - here. You can also go to the Samaritans' website here, or email them on [email protected].

Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek RL help and support as well.

We also like to remind everyone that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, and we really hope things start to look up for you soon -
Kindest
MNHQ

I have lost a lot in the last few years. My sister, my career (due to a disease which looks like it's going to kill me), my energy, friends, me. I could go on. I am going down and down. No family. Have dcs who are teens and not interested in me and my dh works long hours but we can't talk anyway. So woe is me! Moan, moan. It was the anniversary of her death yesterday and yesterday wasn't actually too bad but today seems worst and in a lot of pain (physically) tonight. Who would actually miss me if I went.

OP posts:
Trooperslane · 01/09/2015 21:25

Your kids would miss you.

Your DH.

I have had a lot of grief recently (parents, late miscarriage, more miscarriages etc) and for me the build up to the anniversary is fraught, the day I seem to cope with and during the next few days I fall apart.

Does this sound like what you're going through?

StrawberryLeaf · 01/09/2015 21:41

Please call someone.

Absolutely agree with Trooperslane, I lost my daughter 6 years ago and the build up and days after are always worse than the actual anniversary.

Give one of the support numbers a call.

onlyoranges · 01/09/2015 22:00

Yes that seems to have happened I think. I don't want to talk to anyone thanks. The amount of pills I have taken I doubt I would make much sense now anyway!

Onlyoranges, do you have a MH worker? I'm guessing you're probably asleep now. When you wake up tomorrow, please speak to someone. MH worker, GP, 111. I don't know whether you have mental health matters in your area, but I find them a great support

thornrose · 02/09/2015 00:25

You say your teen dc are not interested but they do need you, despite the eye rolls and irritation.

Losing your sis must've been awful, that is one of my biggest fears. Flowers

You know what, who would miss you is irrelevant. You are alive, life is always worth living, even if just for your dc for now until you can live life for you.

Hang on in there, the fact you're posting is good.

pnutter · 02/09/2015 00:29

Hi OP. I've probably not got much of use to say but Im here if you fancy a chat

pnutter · 02/09/2015 00:30

Oh..by the way I have a ds early twenties and have recently been through the OD thing. My dad died a few days later and so I am in shit too if that helps !

OP posts:
MummySparkle · 02/09/2015 23:14

When will you be seeing your psychiatrist? How are you feeling the evening? x

onlyoranges · 03/09/2015 18:17

Had my assessment session and they have put a support package in place. Lots of 'interventions' so we will see how it goes. Thanks for still thinking of me.
