Don't do it without seeing your GP.

But it is great news you are feeling better.

It can be dangerous to come off too soon or without being weaned off them correctly.

ok ill see my docs next month as just got myself another month of ADs. How would it be done esp me being on the lowest ADS - 5mg (dont worry i wont do it myself as i know it be too dangerous)

It might be a case of every other day miss a tablet or every third day. All depends on how the doc thinks you are doing. Good luck with it.

I'm glad you are feeling so much better. It is encouraging as I have just started (yesterday) on the same tablets but a higher dose (10mg). I have tried (against my GPs advice) to deal with my depression for two and a half years now, since dd birth, but have finally decided to go on them. I was reluctant as I have been on ADs before (different tablets) and found that I lost ALL emotions and not just the low ones. At the time it was perfect for me as I was grieving and didn't want to feel anything but I faught against it this time as I didn't want to miss out on the joy that my dd brings me 1000 times a day. Am already feeling detatched, although not sure if that is just in my mind (lol). I was wondering, if I may ask, if you had any experience of loss of emotions and/or detachment while on the tablets?

Funky - I started out on a 10mg too but i had to go down to 5mg as i felt so knackered and spaced out!.. and if my DD fell over or hurt herself it didnt seem to connect straight away that she had hurt herself.
