Anyone tried Alimemazine? Any good?

I've just been prescribed Alimemazine to assist with sleep. It's an "old fashioned" anti-histamine according to my GP. I'm trying to find something that assists with my anxiety but can be taken on an 'as needed basis'. I was initially given promazine but having tried it a few times, wasn't impressed. It's like trying to get blood out of a stone getting something from my GP, and Alimemazine wasn't the sedating anti-histamine I requested, but figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a go.

Anyone ever tried this and has it helped you?

Thanks in advance!
