Sertraline and exhaustion - normal?

SquidgyMaltLoaf · 14/04/2015 17:32

I've been on Sertraline twice - once for about 18 months three or four years ago, and started it again just after Christmas. This second time I didn't get the side effects of tiredness but since I was ill a few weeks ago I've felt completely and utterly exhausted. It feels like a different kind of tiredness to usual - I just want to sleep and have no energy and am yawning a lot but don't feel like I've done anything that should mean I'm physically tired. Is this normal?

I feel the same SquidgyMaltLoaf. I think it interferes with my gut and that's why it is making me tired. There is a long thread about sertraline here but I don't even have the energy to check it out. Maybe its the season change as well making us tired. I am trying to hang on there.

I was exhaused when I first went on it and had a 2 hour nap every day whilst my toddlers napped for the first two weeks but it did pass. I also had diarrhhea for weeks on end and my doc told me to take immodium which soon shifted it.

Oh and I'd yawn so much I thought I was going to be sick!

I take mine at night as I was feeling nauseous and tired.
