I slowly came off of 50mg of Amitriptyline which I was taking for migraine on my doctor's advice after being on this dose for 5 years. I took 8 weeks to come off completely and have been off now for 2 weeks. Which leaves me on 20mg of Escitalopram.
The problem I am having is feeling irritable, a bit agitated at times and having restless legs at night (though I do sleep). I don't know if this is as a result of coming off of the Amitriptyline or irritability caused by the Escitalopram that may have been masked by the Amitriptyline all these years?? Going to see GP on Thursday not quite sure what to make of it!
