How to give support

I have a friend who took an overdose early this week. It was a serious, organised attempt and she didn't tell anyone until it was obvious it hadn't worked. It is her first attempt for 25 years and she wasn't in contact with MH services before this. My question is, how to best support her after this?

I spent 7 hours with her in A&E at the weekend and, I have to say, they were brilliant, kind and gentle and they kept her in until last night when she was transferred on a voluntary section to a local unit. She has no local family or other friends so just me and DH. We both work so it's difficult to visit every day.
Has anyone any ideas how best to support? ATM I'm collecting clothes etc and taking in nice food plus regularly texting her. Anything I shouldn't be doing or ,conversely, should be doing?

I'm off to bed now but will be checking back regularly tomorrow.
TIA
