hello. Longtime lurker here. I am on sertraline and have been over a year. Always got the drugs from the same chemist and had lustral (I think) as the make of sertraline. Same chemist gave me a different make this time and I feel really odd. Is it a coincidence or can the make of the same drug have an effect?

Previously ticking along nicely but now feel disconnected and can't be bothered. Not depressed or anxious just frozen sort of.

It shouldn't make a difference. I swap between makes and generics all the time. Have you checked they're the same dose?

Yes same dose. I agree with you in my brain but it's just so coincidental. Ah well. The mind is a weird thing.

The active ingredient of a generic is the same as the original, but the stuff they use to bulk up the pill and coat it with can be different, therefore you may respond differently to another make.
