How do you decide if your ADs are causibg too many side effects?

I started taking 20mg fluoxetine/Prozac a couple of weeks ago. I think it's helping, but I'm getting irritating side effects.
Restless legs
Tired all the time
Constant headache

Do I put up with it because the tablets seem to be helping?
Ask the GP for something else?
Or wait and see if the side effects wear off?

Fwiw my depression is pretty mild and the GP thought I would only need the tablets for 3-6 months.

Keep a diary so you can see if the side-effects wear off, I think. Then you might find it easier to decide?

Well I certainly wouldn't go switching until you have given it at least a month. If you start chopping and changing you won't know if you are coming or going.

It is a personal decision though. For severe depression the benefits often heavily outweigh any negative effects. For mild/moderate depression often the benefits are not enough to put up with the unpleasantness.

I have found SSRI medications to be a bit weird. Some made me sleepy others made me 'wired' like I had been drinking super strong coffee. Headaches/restless legs quite common in my experience.
