Hi I have a long history of depression and anxiety and currently on long term sick ( due to go back soon) I am currently taking mirtazipine 30mg and 75mg pregabalin at night and then 75mg pregabalin in morn .

Been on above for about 5 wks and I don't feel much better and feel I have put on weight with the mirtz. I was prev on 200mg setraline and 80mg propanalol bit was not helping and was taking 2hrs plus to fall asleep

I am going to doc's tmrrw , is there anything anyone can recommend ? I just cannot go on like this Sad

Promethazine OTC counter. Knocks me out. It's worth a try.

Olanzapine knocked me out.

Agomelatine is good for sleep. It's an AD that acts on melatonin and so doesn't knock you out artificially like a sleeping pill does, but it regulates your sleep. I used to lie awake for literally hours and got to the point where I dreaded going to bed, but now it takes me only a few minutes to fall asleep and I find I'm waking up naturally at the same time every day and am actually ok to get up and not exhausted. I was on mirtazipine but that was awful stuff I found. I was still taking ages to get to sleep but it kind of made me feel like a zombie all day.
Maybe ask your gp about agomelatine?

I found olanzapine, trazodone and quetapine sedative.

Agomelatine is certainly worth a try - it made me feel so dizzy and sick that I couldn't take it though. Olanzapine is my current drug to help me sleep.
