I hate depression

I hate how I feel, how I behave, what it has done to my family, lying to work about why I am off but not having the courage to tell them I tried to kill myself and failed - can't even get that right. Wish there was a magic pill that I could take to fall asleep and wake up when it is all better or just not wake up at all.

I feel exactly the same. That's all I can say.

I do feel for you. Try to hold on there, nothing lasts forever. Forget work for now get the help u need. You are only human and we get sick, you will get well again promise.

Sorry to hear you're struggling.

It can be so hard to keep going and to hold in there when you're trying to get better. And so many people use the term 'depression' to describe just feeling a bit low which can make it harder to talk about honestly. There's a difference between having a bad week and hoping you just don't wake up! And then there's the added fact that MH is less understood and accepted than physical problems which can add to the stress but try not to let yourself feel too embarassed/ashamed. It's no different to having a physical problem.

And it does get better eventually. I'm going through similar atm and keep telling myself that too. It's disheartening if it's not the first time and you know it might happen again (and it's so hard to believe it will get better when you've got your crap-tinted glasses on) but it's worth getting better to experience the good things in life again. I find it helps to cut it down too so if I'm really not coping to take it hour by hour if I really need to. Even that is an acheivement if you're finding it hard Thanks

Morning Carbonel!
Grin

It's a vicious bugger,
It's what kept me up last night.

Be gentle on yourself but don't be afraid to use your closest friend.
